Mark graduated with Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado with an emphasis in Ceramics and a minor in Psychology. He worked in the corporate world to support his young family until in 1999 he “broke free” to become a traveling artist. This he did for the next four years. In 2003 he took a temporary detour into the world of commercial general contracting. Now in 2007 he is returning to art with a renewed passion. Mark is currently working on a traveling exhibition of paintings about inner city homelessness that will debut in Denver in late 2008.
He works in a variety of media -- pastel, oil, watercolor, and Black & White media. Most of his work in past years has been of wildlife and large oil landscapes. In recent years he has been painting human figures and portraits, mostly in pastel.
He has done numerous commissioned portraits for private clients as well as several commissions for commercial clients in Alaska, Wyoming, and Colorado.
